After graduating from Liverpool University as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2007, Ash went on to complete his vocational training in North Wales. Having successfully completed the training year he worked in both private and NHS practices whilst also completing the following training part time:

  • 2016 – Enrolled on the UK Implantology course, Cambridge
  • 2015 – Advanced Bone Regeneration Techniques in Implant Therapy under Professor Istavan Urban – Urban Regeneration Institute (Budapest)
  • 2014 – Horizontal and Vertical Bone Augmentation – Geistlich, London
  • 2014 – Sinus lift course – Dentale, Shrewsbury
  • 2014 – Advanced techniques for bone and soft tissue regeneration – Geistlich, London
  • 2013 – Update on Conscious Dental Sedation – Yorkshire Sedation Training
  • 2013 – Six Month Smiles Accredited Practitioner (specialised clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth in an average time of just six months)
  • 2011 -2012 – Advanced Implant Training – Dentale, Shrewsbury
  • 2011 – Dr Bob Khanna Training Institute in Advanced Facial Aesthetics – completed training in both Botulinum Toxin and dermal filler with one of the leading cosmetic dentists in the UK.  Subsequent refresher courses have also been completed
  • 2011 – Dawson Academy UK training – this involved training from some of the leading clinicians in the UK, Europe and America. The course focused on complete dentistry and providing understanding of complex jaw dysfunctions which many patients suffer from.
  • 2010 –  Invisalign Accredited Practitioner (clear braces as a cosmetic alternative to traditional “train track” braces)
  • 2009-11 – Completed a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry (University of Central Lancashire). This involved completing advanced cases in smile design, root canal treatment, periodontal surgery.
  • 2008-09 – Standard Course in Conscious Sedation at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and regular updates
  • 2008-09 – Clinical Assistant Post at Wrexham Maelor Hospital performing many surgical wisdom tooth extractions in theatre under general anaesthesia

Ash’s mains area’s of interest are oral surgery, implant surgery, restorative cosmetic dentistry and treating anxious and dental phobic patients with dental sedation.

Ash is a family man and adores spending time with his baby daughter.  In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit, travelling and supporting Liverpool FC.

Dr Sharn Takhar

Associate Dentist – GDC number 179306

Dr. Sharn Takhar MDDr qualified in 2009 from the 1st Faculty of Medicine: Charles University, Prague, in the Czech Republic.

After completing Vocational Training in Yorkshire he has gained extensive experience working within the NHS and private practice.
Previous posts have been local to his hometown of Wolverhampton, in Shropshire and Reading.

Sharn enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has attended post-graduate courses in Restorative dentistry, Botox and fillers.
He has a caring, considerate nature towards his patients, whilst maintaining high clinical standards and attention to detail.

He strives to improve with regular Continuing Professional Development and plans to extend his skill set and interests further in the coming years.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family, meeting friends and sports related hobbies.  He also enjoys reading, music and travelling.

I began my career in dentistry when I qualified as a dental nurse at the age of 18.  After 8 years in this role I attended Birmingham dental hospital where I gained my Diploma in dental hygiene in 2003.  I have worked in private practice since qualification and have gained a wealth of experience in helping even the most nervous of patients to achieve improved oral health.  I have two children Jack and Laura.  I also have three labradors dogs who complete my family.

You will see me mainly on reception but I  like to keep my hand in working in the surgery occasionally.  My main areas of interest are sedation and implants, there’s nothing more rewarding than giving someone a smile to be proud of. I am always happy to help in answering any questions you may have regarding your dental care. In my spare time I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family.

 

 

Donna- Senior Dental Nurse/Receptionist – GDC number 162959

I thoroughly enjoy my role as a senior dental nurse, supporting younger members of the team helping them gain experience and confidence. My particular interests lie in oral surgery and implants; you will find me working in surgery as well as on reception. I am married and have two wonderful children, who keep me busy. We love spending time together on family holidays and days out.

You will see me in surgery and occasionally on reception. I really enjoy working as a dental nurse and I am always ready to learn more! In my spare time, I like socialising with friends and family and walking my two dogs.

I began Dental Nursing in 2003 and recently spent 5 years in Perth, Australia exploring and working as a Prosthodontic nurse/dental office manager.

I have a huge passion for health and fitness and competing in CrossFit competitions and enjoy spending my spare time time outdoors and travelling.
